How to Use/How to Check-in
You are now able to book flights not only to Japan and Asia but also around the world. In addition to the search criteria, you are able to build your own trip with multiple destinations and redeem coupons! The promotion code can be found on www.a-kind.com or emailed to you. You can even choose different boarding cabin in itineraries.
2. Search Results
Flight options will be displayed after you complete your search. You can view flight details such as booking class, what terminal, fare rules and baggage rules by clicking button marked “details”. When you enter a coupon code, any eligible items will be displayed. Then simply choose what you’d like to book.
Please be careful to check the following items before you proceed to the final booking process.
|(1)||You will want to check in with the operating airline if you have chosen a code share flight.|
|(2)||Sometimes a forced over night stay may be involved if there are multiple stops. Please check all arrival and departure times carefully.|
|(3)||We are not responsible for travel documents such as passports and visas for entry into certain countries. It is advised you check to see if you will need to obtain a transit visa or any entry visas.|
3. Member Log in
You will need to log in to your A-Kind account before you can finalize booking a ticket. If you don’t have one already you can easily create one on our website.
4. Passenger Information
Please check all your passenger information and total prices of your itinerary before you finish booking. The name you listed in your account profile will automatically be entered as the passenger’s name on your reservation. If your account name is different than the name on your passport (for international travel) or a government photo ID (for domestic travel), you will need to correct the name in your reservation so it matches your documents. Please note,
|(1)||If you have a name on your passport in parentheses, please input the name in parentheses but do not type in the actual parentheses.
Last name on your passport: YAMADA (SMITH) → Enter: YAMADASMITH
Please also check to see if your last name and first name are entered in the correct order and not in reverse. Please remember that any name changes are not permitted at anytime and cancellation or a change fee will be imposed.
|(2)||You can request your seat preference when you book your ticket however we cannot be guarantee your preference will always be available. In some cases advanced seat assignments are not available for certain flights. We do not accept any changes or cancellations due to seat selection discrepancies. Airline penalties will be applied. You can view and change your seat assignment at any time up until checking-in through your airline’s website.|
|(3)||Please enter any special meal requests. Please note all airlines are different and some may not provide the specific special meal you are looking for.|
|(4)||Earning miles depend on booking class and ticket type. Please locate which class your ticket is on your itinerary. You can then check mileage earned through your airline’s website. We do not accept changes or cancellations due to mileage program issues. Airline penalties will be applied. Please contact our customer support if you have any questions regarding eligibility to earn miles. Also you will not be eligible to earn miles if the passenger’s name and the name under the mileage program is different.|
Please enter your credit card information. Please consult with your credit card company in advance if your credit card has security protection for unusually high charge amounts.
Please check your name and itinerary completely before you submit and finalize your purchase.
Your reservation is completed when your A-Kind reservation number is displayed. A Confirmation email will be sent to you automatically. Please remember once you have your A-kind reservation number your booking is completed and penalties for changes or cancellations will be applied.
8. Confirmation by email
You will find itinerary, airline’s reservation number and E-Ticket number in the confirmation. You may be able to find your reservation by visiting your airline’s website. You may also be able to change your seat assignment, purchase options, add special meals and enter your frequent flyer number on your airline's website.
9. Flight schedules
Flight schedules are subject to change without notice. Please check for most updated flight status before you travel. We are not responsible for any missed flights due to airline schedule changes. You can check your flight status from the airline’s website.
(Online check-in) Most airlines will allow you to check in online 24 hours prior to your scheduled flight. You can go to your airline’s website, enter your reservation number or E-Ticket number to check in and to print your boarding pass. At the airport, drop your baggage off at the designated baggage counter and proceed to security then to your gate. It's that easy!
(Mobile check-in) You may be able to check in through a mobile app. Boarding passes can be displayed on your mobile device. At the airport, drop your baggage off at the designated baggage counter and proceed to security then to your gate.
(Check-in at counter) You can also check in using a ticket kiosk. You can scan either your credit card or government photo ID. Or enter your reservation number or 13 digit E-Ticket number in order to print your boarding pass. You still need to drop off your baggage if you have baggage. Then proceed to the security check point and then your gate. Waiting times can be long, we recommend giving yourself ample time prior to your flight to avoid any problems.
